Re: staining issue
To be honest, others on here use products containing cetylpyridinium chloride and have had no issue...it's only the Crest Pro Health that seems to be doing it. But since Crest says that the staining product is cetylpyridinium chloride, I'd say stay away from it just in case. I use listerine but man...

Re: Flossing with braces
I also use the waterpik with the orthodonitc head, though you need to replace them every 2-3 monts because the tip will start to fray. do you also use one of the portable waterpiks for travel or work, I use a SPAMTRONIC SPAMSONIC SPAMONAIDE SPAMSTER SPAM SPAMINATOR one that runs on 2 AA batteries an...

staining issue
hi all, I've had my braces for about half a year now and recently I've noticed on several teeth there are pretty bad amounts of staining on there. where the bracket divides the tooth, the top are still white but below the bracket to the gumline there are dark outlines and yellow staining. I asked my...

I was also looking this up on line and pretty much says the same thing that you mentioned, so it looks like my friend might have been misinformed. also is it true that it's not recommended to get ceramic both top and bottom, that one should side should be metal because te...

what is the difference between white braces and ceramic one?
Are white colored braces and ceramic ones the same, just names interchanged or are there metal ones that are colored white? I have a friend who said he is getting fitted for what his orthodontist called white braces, but when I asked aren't those the clear ceramic ones he said no, they are white col...

does positioning of rubber bands matter?
I've been putting rubber bands on my upper back molar to the lower canine for about a week now. I usually can't get the top part properly attached to the hook, so I usually place it on the back part of the bracket instead. Does this make any difference? Thanks.

getting braces after bone loss
my lower front teeth have some wide spaces between them due to gum recession and bone loss. before getting braces I had a gum graft done but the spacing is still noticeable. while I have gotten braces to correct my bite to prevent further gum recession, will the bottom braces also be able to success...

braces term needed
hi everyone, I'm new here and got my braces about two weeks ago. on the bottom front of my teeth, my orthodontist placed something that is clear that wraps around the brackets and is about as thick as the wire. yestereday after brushing my teeth, I noticed that this clear piece is starting to loosen...
