Re: Which retainer to go for?

I have a permanent bonded retainer for the lowers and Hawley for the uppers. I absolutely love the permanent retainer! I cannot even tell it's there. Flossing it is similar to having braces, but it's only five spaces. I did have a small lisp the first day with the Hawley, but now, on my fourth day, ...

Re: Very different braces removal

At first, I didn't like the idea that it would take two visits to remove everything, then I started thinking about it and liked it. I just wished they had removed the glue on my freed teeth so I wouldn't have to have all of it removed at one time. The molar bands were difficult for me to get used to...

Very different braces removal

I had half of my braces removed today. The front six teeth on the top and bottom are still braced until next Monday when my retainer will be ready. The wires were removed and clipped. The ends are bent inward to prevent the wires from poking me. The removal of the brackets on the very back teeth mad...

Re: Second thoughts

I don't regret getting braces. I love my new smile. Can't wait to see it free and clear next week! Two years seems like a long time, but you will be amazed how fast it goes by. The first year was exciting because you could see the changes happening. The second year wasn't as exciting but I knew the ...

Re: Good News/Bad News

Thank you! I wish I could post pictures. I have tried and tried with no luck, so I eventually gave up. I love how my teeth look now! I can't believe it's been almost two years. Some days the braces don't bother me and other days I want them off so bad.

Good News/Bad News

The front six teeth on the top and bottom will remain braced. :biglaf: This will keep my teeth in position until my ret...

Re: Car Accident

My lip is looking fantastic. I still have some swelling. Hopefully, when it completely heals no one will notice a difference. :)

Car Accident

I was in a car accident on Friday. While I was blowing the horn, the air bag deployed causing my hand to hit me in the face. I now have about a one inch laceration on my bottom lip. It's on the edge. I also have multiple cuts on the top and inside of the bottom lip. Only the laceration needed stitch...
