I am so excited!! I got my de-brace date. I will be getting my braces off on Monday (30-Aug). I was initially told I would have them on for 2 and a half years and it has only been a one and a half. I can't wait.

I got mine after one year and 2 months. I only have to wear them at night, so it is not that bad. I already see a difference in my bite.

On my last visit my ortho indicated I am on the homestretch... not sure how long the homestretch takes but I am excited.

I started with silver on top and bubble-gum pink on the bottoms. And now have bubble pink on the top and bottom and love it!! I have had some responses from everyone :)

So, the bottom braces are on. They also removed some of my top brackets (taking them off was quite scary... they just use pillars and pull them off) and they placed the top brackets in different locations on my teeth. And the added bite pads... What a pain! I thought bite pads would be soft.. but no...

On Tuesday, I am finally getting my bottom braces on. I got the top braces in April 2011 but because I have a deep overbite, I needed to wait to get my bottom braces until there was some room between my upper and lower teeth. I am a little nervous... as I will back to using wax… more pain. But at le...

Don't worry, they will close the gaps. Before my first adjustment, I also had huge gaps (made flossing easier). During my first adjustment, the added powerchains and the gaps are gone.

I have tried the silver ones. They do make my braces more noticeable but at least they don't turn bright yellow. I have also eaten curry LOTS and they stay silver. Thank-you for all the help :).

Since my orthodontist found a cavity between my front two teeth, he took my wire off so I can get the cavity filled. So for a day and a half I have no wire. My teeth are enjoying the break and flossing is so much easier. Although the inside of my month is not enjoying it too much as the brackets are...

Any recommendations of the colour of power chains to get that do not stain as much. I love curry and stained my power chains. I just got them replaced with silver power chains.
