Hello, all! Well, after wanting braces for most of my life, I finally got to a place in my life where I could become a metal mouth. Actually, I have clear ceramic braces, so I suppose I'm a ceramic mouth. I've always had a canine tooth that sticks out, but in the last couple of years, my front teeth...

I got a powerchain this week to close an extraction gap and bring down my canine ... Ow, ow, ow.

To make it worse, the wire popped out of the bracket on the opposite side, and they re-did the entire top, including the powerchain. Ugh.

I didn't have a lot of pain when I got mine. But the first adjustment hurt like #$@#.

How bad is sweetened iced tea? As bad as soda pop? I'm doomed.

I had a premolar removed the day that I got braces; they just didn't put a lot of pressure on that area, I think. No problems.

Thanks, all! I'll ask about the turbos. He didn't mention them before (when he explained the whole process), but I'll want to be sure. I'll let you know how it goes. :)
