I am on the "accelerated plan," as I like to call it. I go every three weeks. I'd rather deal with the pain and get them off quicker.

I was having some problems in a spot where i had an extraction. the wire was totally indented into my cheek. My ortho actually put a small clear plastic tube on the wire and it made ALL the difference in the world. i don't know what your exact situation is, but this might help.

i am wearing the Sea Lion elastics (1/4, heavy 6.5 ounces). Does anyone know about the strength of this size? Are they really "heavy" or do they get a lot worse?

What do you mean by saying the gum pockets are a little too deep? Mine just seem swollen and a little pulled away from the tooth at the top.

I just had my lower teeth slenderized a few days ago and it was not exactly easy. the shaving itself did not hurt, it was the assistant who used some sort of tool to push down my gums so they wouldn't be shaved along with the tooth. yup, i just had one of my lower brackets realigned yesterday. Unfortunately the new one took 5 trys to make it stick- it kept popping off because of the cement, so just make sure they take off all of the old cement before they put on the new one or it will pop off like mine did!
