Re: I didn't know this would happen

Thank you everyone. I guess it is apart of what we go through to perfect our smiles. I'm doing much better now. I just try not to stare too much when I look in the mirror or I get a lump in my stomach. :)

I didn't know this would happen

So today I had my 4 extractions done. When I got back to the area and the oral dentist came and sat down, my eyes started to water. Now I had come to terms a while ago with getting teeth pulled for this. We talked for a moment and then I was ready to go. When he numbed me, little tears started to fa...

Re: Brushing at work?

I haven't had any issues with brushing my teeth at work. I'm proud to do it. It shows that I care about my dental hygiene. Plus we have a shower room so it's not uncommon for people to do all kinds of hygiene maintainance at work. I dare someone say something negative to me about brushing my teeth. ...

Re: What Have I DONE????

I understand how you feel. I have molar buildups too. They are the most annoying things in my mouth. I feel like I eat like a cow. I suppose I've gotten used to them because they don't bother me as much, but I still don't like them. Also with other things in my life stressing me out, these have beco...

Re: Would YOU Wear Willy's Braces and Headgear?

In my field, absolutely NOT!!!!! Especially as an adult. I would need some therapy behind that.

Re: Braces fitted today

Aww Sweeney it will be okay. I'm 32 and I have embraced my brace face. I've gotten all positive comments about my braces. At first I did wonder if I would have trouble with dating, but it doesn't seem to be an issue.

You will have a beautiful smile when it's all done. Hang in there.

Re: Flossing with braces

I have that same problem as well. My bottom teeth are crowded and it hurts so much to floss. I struggle to get the floss in between my teeth and when I do I am in so much pain. The floss shreds. Right now I still have a very thin piece stuck in either my teeth or bracket. I can't tell. I can only fe...

Was the Newbie Awaiting Braces

I just got them today. And my first meal was mashed potatoes, meat loaf, and mixed veggies. It seem like a chore trying to eat, but so far all is well.

Newbie Awaiting for Braces

Hello All, I am a 32 year old awaiting to get my braces put on next week. I'm very happy to have found this site. I am concerned about something. I keep wondering if once I'm done with treatment, will the space between my upper lip and nose flatten to the point that it will look funny. I have an ove...
