Re: Keeping teeth as healthy as possible?

Thanks Crazy4Snow! I've been reading your blog since I found this site; you're teeth look amazing! and bbs, I'll keep that in mind. I'm going to ask my dentist about mi paste or a super flouride toothpaste tomorrow for my decalcification and hopefully he'll help me out.

Keeping teeth as healthy as possible?

Well, I was braced last Wednesday morning, and I've been watching my oral hygiene much more closely when I found out I'd be getting braced. Growing up with a mother with a huge dental phobia meant I rarely went to the dentist because she couldn't stand it (thanks, ma.) so I don't have the best recor...

Re: What were your eating habbits like before braces....

I was a HUGE taffy/caramel/chocolate caramel person along with whole crispy fruits. I can barely chew noodles now, but it's getting better. Going out to eat tonight, hopefully things go well. But I miss caramels sooo much!

Burt's Bee's Pomegranate lip balm. It's amazing! I love pomegranates, this is smoothing, great smelling, and gives my lips a tint of red.

If you're allergic to aspirin and tylenol, try naproxen sodium (aleve). I'd ask your doctor or dentist though to be safe about what you can take however.

Re: Another braces story

Amazing story, very inspiring! I just got my uppers done yesterday morning to prep for impaction surgery, and I've been miserable! But see your teeth go from beginning to now is amazing and makes me want to grin (haha, yeah right) and bare it. I also have to say, AMAZING illustrations! I would pay m...

B-Day Coming Up!

It's almost here! I get braced Wednesday after years of wanting them and now needing them for an impacted canine and some mild crowding/spacing issues. I went to the store today to get some things, and yowzers! I stocked up on yogurt, some sugar-free fudgsicles, toothpaste, floss, etc other mouth th...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

Count me in the club! I've had difficult teeth since I could recall my first extraction visit to the dentist. My other canine (the right) was having trouble coming down, so they pulled that baby, my left lower, and some baby pre-molars. Apparently my adult teeth just needed help growing in. Fast for...

Re: And So It Begins

Congrats on taking the plunge! My cousin got a palate expander about a month ago and had a hard time with it, though it must be easier fro him since he's only 8. His ortho strongly recommended a water pik to clean up under the expander since brushes are near impossible to get up there. You could als...
