I have clear braces top and bottom. I have the molar build ups - still. I have a quad helix expander on the top palate and TODAY the lower lingual arch was installed. The purpose of the quad and the lower lingual is to expand my arches. I have a tiny mouth. I have a constant gag reflex going on now ...

Yes, I've only had my braces for 2 weeks. I'm getting a "lower lingual" put on in 2 weeks so they are trying to create space on the bottom molars to apply the metal band. So the wire skips that tooth on each side - giving more room for pressure on wire and therefore popping out.

Does anyone else have trouble with the wires popping out of brackets on your lower molars?

Quad Helix (aka, torture device) successfully installed today at noon. Can I do this for 6-9 months?? He asked after installation how it felt and my response was, "Are you kidding"? Well, it didn't really sound like that but that was was what I INTENDED to say! My teenage children are quit...

I've almost survived a week with my upper and lower braces. I have lost a couple of pounds = upside. The quad helix and lower lingual is being installed tomorrow at noon. I'm so scared. I guess the only positive is that the spacers will be removed! Please send tips on how to talk with the quad helix...

I had braces put on this morning. In-Ovation C with spacers for the Quad Helix that's coming next week...Whoo Hoo! Pain is setting now. Advice? Comments? Suggestions?
