I have United and mine is covered. They will deny it at first but if you can show the medical necessity on the appeal you can get it approved. Keep in mind this is only if your plan covers orthognathic surgery, some employers plans do not cover it.

I have maxillary and mandibular hypoplasia on my right side. I am having BSSO, Lefort I, and genio.

I also have the same issues. Have had braces on for 6 weeks now and shooting for surgery with Gunson in the March to June time frame.

ladyjenie, if you are still on here I live in the same area as you and I'm having the same problem with Aetna and Dr Wolford. Who did you end up going to?
