Re: Did your debanding appointment get put back?
Just wanted to post an update. I see lots of people reading posts but not many commenting so maybe me posting some feedback will help others in future. The dentist advised that the tooth has in fact started to rotate slightly. This is because the ligatures / power chain that was closing the teeny ga...

Re: Did your debanding appointment get put back?
Thank you for your reply. I've calmed down a bit knowing it's fairly common. Bit gutted but you're right it will be worth it in the end.

Did your debanding appointment get put back?
Just wondering how many of you suffered major disappointment expecting to get your braces off then finding out a tooth needs more adjustment? I was all set for brace removal in 2 weeks and now a tooth has started to rotate :-( i'm so fed up. Given it's taken 3 weeks to do this (was previously fine) ...

Thanks for replying.
I don't think retainers will be able to save me as I'm getting a bonded fixed retainer (thats what the impressions were taken for) and the plan is to also have a clear essix retainer also. Isn't it only the Hawleys retainers that can make adjustments?

Offically fed up. Debanding won't be happening
So i've been in braces nearly a year to correct an impacted canine tooth. The tooths been lined up for ages now and we've been straightening up other teeth that moved during the original correction process. At my last dental visit 3 weeks ago we were both happy and he took impressions for my bonded ...

Bonding 4 front teeth together and essix retainer
Hello everyone I'm onto the last wire now and hoping to get my braces off in the next 6 weeks or so. We are just trying to tweak one tooth really. I commented about how I'd noticed a small gap in between my two front teeth reappear slowly over the last month. The Dentist said not to worry as he was ...

I would just like to post some feedback to this group as there are so many people with impacted canines going through this i thought some success stories might help. I am in the last month o...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
I would just like to post some feedback to this group as there are so many people with impacted canines going through this i thought some success stories might help. I am in the last month of wearing braces to bring down an impacted canine. I've had fixed ceramics on my upper arch for 8 months and m...

Re: Braces getting on top of me. Bad week :(
Thanks. Actually he said 6-9 months as the tooth had already cut the gum but I figured it would be about 8. That's the reason why I'm so upset. I feel like I was kind of tricked into it. (I've needed a brace for years but always refused to get one). If I'd known from the outset it was at least an 18...

Braces getting on top of me. Bad week :(
Ok so to recap, I'm 32, I got braced on top 16 weeks ago with fixed ceramic brackets to put an impacted canine down on the right side. I've hated wearing the braces, every single day but have had a period of a few months of kind of being used to them and accepting that it will be worth it in the lon...

Straight teeth going crooked with brace - starting to panic
HELP! There isn't much straightening up required with my top teeth, I am only really braced to pull down an impacted canine but the dentist dis say he may pull one of my teeth forward a bit as it;s always been set back a bit. I noticed a few weeks ago the tooth he was moving forward has moved really...

Bleeding with brace (impacted canine)
Hello I haven't posted for a month or so. I've had upper ceramics for 8 weeks now to pull a partially erupted canine tooth into place. I have a little bracket attached the the partially erupted canine tooth and a ligature to pull the tooth down slowly. So far not much of a difference in that I can't...

Re: Eating out tonight - HELP with menu / ceramic / staining
Thank you. I too was thinking about one of the fish dishes. Maybe the honey glazed salmon. Then I started panicking about stains from the honey glaze! I can see how people get scared to try foods 'just incase' they stain the ligs. It could get really crazy. You're so right, just gotta go with it and...
