Ooooo, I'll have to keep heating pads in mind. I've been clenching like crazy since I started elastics.

They gave me a band with extra cement. I don't remember sanding it, and the assistant mentioned not wanting to damage it (it was brand new).
I did have to get it re-cemented when I started elastics because it became loose. But it has been fine the last two adjustments.

I got braces about a month before I turned 30.

Mine is make, but as someone else mentioned, all the assistants are female.
