Re: Top and bottom linguals on today - so hungry
Lol your funny =) You'll get used to the wax and become a pro at taking it off (and you'll be able to reuse it just like your orthodontist said) I will put wax on in morning right after i brush... then eat and drink coffee.. take wax off and brush again... put wax back on... eat lunch.. take wax off...

Re: Top and bottom linguals on today - so hungry
Yeah it is very weird with eating and talking initially. Keeping food in my mouth while chewing was nearly impossible haha. I felt disgusting when i ate haha! I would frequently have a napkin or my hand over my mouth to hide the food rolling around. But it all when away after a few weeks (although i...

Re: Top and bottom linguals on today - so hungry

Re: Anyone has 'tooth coloured' Ligs on ceramics?
the ceramic ligs will really be the best for you in the long run. I promise you the clear ones arent the way to go. THEY WILL STAIN. i know you think your ligs are on the yellow side but they are infinately better than clear. I have ceramic and i drink coffee regularaly and have many colored sauces ...

Re: This is normal, right?
yeah i would venture to say that is a fairly normal thing in braces. I too will randomly have just one tooth that just aches soo bad but the others will be just fine. i even had dentist check it to see if maybe i had a cavity and he said its just the braces and thats normal. now say the intensity of...

Re: What changes the angulation of teeth?? Elastics/Wires??
ok so the answer to your question is the wires will change the angle of your teeth.. I myself have bottom teeth angled in like so \. I asked my ortho how he was gonna fix this issue for me. he said he will put in a particular wire that doesnt have a round or square shape but more of a triangle. and ...

Re: I found popcorn we can eat!!!
yup I can barely stand to go to a movie theater because of the wonderful aroma of popcorn. It used to be my favorite snack. I discovered there are many ortho rules that i tend to bend with what i eat but unfortunately i cannot bend the "no popcorn" rule. It's such a horrid pain finding cur...

Re: Experiences with wearing a power chain?... I see no chan
Thanks all! I do feel considerably better knowing its a process and the gaps will eventualy close. I think i'll still bring it up with my ortho and be sure that he soon changes my power chain to something stronger. Anxious to see changes lol =)

Re: Experiences with wearing a power chain?... I see no chan
TinkB Believe it or not i actually have all of my teeth, including wisdom teeth. needed no extractions and i still grew up with nearly 2mm gaps between all of the front four teeth (if that makes sense, i dont know all my tech terms as of yet). Weird right? Lol nearly every tech that has done an adju...

Re: Swelling between teeth
Did you recently have a gap between those teeth and it closed up? that will cause irritation of the gum and its normal and should go away. Also when you brush your teeth do you brush really rough? if so id back off and brush more gently because the rough brushing can also cause that irrititation in ...

Re: Elastics and Dry mouth?
so i just learned from my dentist that if you use a mouth wash like listerine with alcohol in it, it will serioulsy dry your mouth out. So maybe stay away from listerine with alcohol. Use Listerine zero (no alcohol). lol I do listerine rinses on purpose because i seem to have plenty of saliva flow a...
