Re: Upper Jaw Surgery with Possible Genioplasty?
I personally didn't notice anything about your face that would require surgery, at least as far as aesthetics are concerned.

Re: Genioplasty hardware removal
How much does this surgery generally cost, and how long after a sliding genio does it take before your body is ready for it to be removed?

Yikes, I don't need/want jaw surgery. Do they do genioplasties as well?

Re: Hollywood Genioplasty
Thanks for the response streo. I don't need my jaws split apart, my bite is fine. Just want the geniplasty. I always assumed I'd need a plastic surgeon. But living in the plastic surgery capital of the world means it can be harder to find someone, not easier, if only 'cause there are so many choices...

This seems like a no-brainer to me. Go for the job. Having an awesome job doesn't preclude your getting the surgery, you'll just have to get it at a later date.

Re: Prepping-excited
Good set of questions! I'll probably ask some of those myself. Your doctor doesn't happen to be located in LA, does he? I think one of the most important questions I'd ask is: what are the chances there will be severe and/or lasting nerve damage in my lips, chin and mouth area? I know lots of people...

Re: Stiff mouth and wonky bottom lip after sliding genioplas
Does numbness/nerve damage as a result of sliding genioplasties ever disappear? Or is this damage permanent? It seems like everyone who's had an SG reports some degree of loss of feeling. I had BSSO + genio the same day (well, night actually), so this is just one data point. I have some minor tight...

Re: Surgery recovery and KISSING
nearly 2yrs. post op...no problems with kissing thus far! Just need for some delicate kissing in the beginning due to the healing, but now even with some numbness no problems. Best of luck! You're still experiencing numbness two years after the operation? Doesn't that mean this numbness is permanent?
