Bone chip a year after wisdom tooth extraction..

I'm getting braces on again in a few days and I recently started working @ a dental office. I just had my dentist look at one of the sites near where I had a wisdom tooth removed last year, because this weekend I just noticed a sharp.. something poking out of my gum up there. He said he thinks it's ...

Re: Is it standard for all ortho offices to sign a waiver if

Well, I just got a call from them today and they will be refunding me what I paid out of pocket, along with stopping my payments (because I still owed) so I'm very happy :) I'll be getting my new ones on on Tuesday!

Re: Is it standard for all ortho offices to sign a waiver if

Dee - he already removed them. I felt like it was happening so early, but felt like, who am I to question an orthodontist.. .this is his profession.. I just had a bad feeling about it, but went with it because he said I was ready. Got them off and immediately hated my teeth, got a couple consults an...

Re: Is it standard for all ortho offices to sign a waiver if

EbonyQ - they made me sign a contract/agreement in the beginning.. but from what I've been told, if someone is insisting the orthodontist remove their braces before their treatment is complete, the office should make them sign a waiver to cover themselves.. so the person can't then go and say whate...

Is it standard for all ortho offices to sign a waiver if...

Is it standard procedure for all offices to require someone to sign a waiver if someone is requesting that the orthodontist remove their braces before it's recommended? Just wondering because my office is now trying to say that I requested them to come off early, which isn't the case, and it's a pre...

Re: Braces off tomorrow.. and I'm seriously depressed :*(

I saw some imperfections when I first got my braces removed, but you know what, nobody else did! Bottom line is that my teeth look a million times better than before. I got used to the look of my teeth and now I just love them. Well, Mary, I wish they were just slight imperfections that I can't hel...

Re: *sigh* Probably paying for braces.. again. Just got them

Thank you all so much for your kind words and advice! @hai - I never knew what a black triangle was until a few days ago either! I didn't have them before the braces. But from what I'm hearing, it's a normal thing that happens and I'm pretty sure I could get it fixed so not so worried about that now...

Re: *sigh* Probably paying for braces.. again. Just got them

Here are my teeth: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v620/iciclez/nobraces2.png @illay - I feel like there's way too much space for my implant.. the area of space is almost as big as one of my two front teeth.. the overjet on that canine definitely doesn't help either. I'm going to talk to my ortho ...

*sigh* Probably paying for braces.. again. Just got them off

Just got my braces off last week. Unhappy with the results. Particularly the overjet (especially the upper canines) and now I have 'black triangles'. I haven't really spoken one-on-one with my ortho yet just because mainly I'm afraid.. I'm very picky & the last month and a half, I've been in the...

Has anyone had braces put back on for free afterd debond?

Just curious if anyone's ever been disappointed in their smile after braces came off and had them put back on for free by their ortho after telling them so?

Re: Braces off tomorrow.. and I'm seriously depressed :*(

I also just left a comment on their customer satisfaction survey about the experience and how dissatisfied I am with my look. Maybe they'll call and want to do something about it. I think now, I'm not going to do the veneer. Because if I end up getting braces again, there's just no point. The crown,...

Re: Braces off tomorrow.. and I'm seriously depressed :*(

Ok, so I take that back. Now that I've actually had time to study them.. I'm very unhappy :( And already looking up getting braces again. I highly doubt they'll put them back on for me, I've never heard of such a thing, plus I was a big pain in the butt. So here are the pictures. My two front teeth ...

Re: Braces off tomorrow.. and I'm seriously depressed :*(

Hi Koof. I don't think that's a finished result. You seem to have a lot of reservations about where your teeth are today. Let that be your guide. If you go forward and have the braces removed, and the crown seated now, how unhappy will you be in long run? Is it really worth the money? Would you con...

Braces off tomorrow.. and I'm seriously depressed :*(

So here are my 'final' pictures I guess. Since they'll be coming off tomorrow. It was supposed to be 18-24 months.. it'll be about 14 tom. which is a lot faster than I expected. They were actually supposed to come off about a month ago but I noticed something I wanted changed so went back.. and then...

What to expect when you're expecting.. an implant?

So, I've had my braces on since Sept. of last year - I need an implant on tooth #10 I believe.. due to the fact that when I lost my baby tooth, it just never grew in.. there was never anything there. I was under the impression that implants had to come after treatment is completely over. I was kind ...
