I have an appointment on 16th May ad if everything is ok I'm getting my impressions done for the retainer, then back on 1st June to have them removed!

Hi Harriet, On your photos from 12th March where you have had your braces removed, in the 'after' photo for your top teethe is the tiny black line the fixed retainer? Hi Bella, The powerchains are like linked ligs. It is one long piece of 'rubber' with little holes in which go round the brackets, this means that the wires are covered by the rubber. I have to say that because of the movement I have had I smile so much more than I used to (and that's with the braces still on!)
Now I'm getting used to them the braces bother me less when smiling than my wonky, gappy teeth!

That's great news Jmax84! I'm dead jealous that you can bite into cheeseburgers! I can eat pretty much whatever I want but I can't bite down on my front teeth, I have to either cut or break everything up into bite size pieces! I can't wait to get my braces off & sink my (new very straight!) teet...

Thanks for the comments guys, it does help to hear fro others going through the same things. I feel a little happier with my bottom brackets & also the bite guards, although I can still eat just about anything it does take me twice as long as everyone else! I'm struggling to get some good photos...
