I was hoping for weight loss, but with eating ice cream and mac and cheese, etc. I stayed the same...oh well, be thankful I can eat some of my fav foods. I love the baked sweet postatoe with brown sugar and butter.

Let us know how you are doing...I am 58 and feeling frustrated as well. I've only had them two months! I have sensitivity around the molar gum line and that's where the bracket is holding the wire. I worry about that.

I don't feel as bad now that someone else over 50 got braces! LOL

I just read somewhere you can get strips that fit across the brackets instead of trying to use the wax. I will do an online search for them.

I hope I can adjust, my inner lip is sore and the wax is not working, I am thinking of ordering the strips.
