Re: Start of my braces journey at 66

Tennesseeditto- I turned 60 in May. Amd I agree with you on 60 being the new 40! I work full time at a very challenging and rewarding job, which includes mentoring jr staff. Since I meet so many people I wanted my smile to be perfect! I've noticed a huge confidence shift over the past 15 mon...

Re: Need info re bonded retainer

Ok so im a way off de bracing and im already excited about this forthcomming day, so i am already thinking about bonded retainers. I like the idea of the flossable one so i have a few questions. Are they ordered on request ? They look more functional for flossing, so are they ? Are they more pleasi...

Re: Aussies - Anyone using flossable permanent retainers in

Hi! A while ago, someone posted a topic about "flossable" permanent retainers (I couldn't find the original post though, sorry!). I will be getting a lower permanent retainer and was just wondering if there are any Aussies out there that have this type of retainer or if it's even approved...

Re: Inman aligners

I can safely say I regret my IA, After 3 weeks of unbearable pain I can now drink warm drinks but still not cold with minor discomfort... But my tooth is now bruised from the damage the brace has done to the root and nerve... The tooth has gone a light shade of grey and I have been advised it may g...

Re: Start of my braces journey at 66

I read the other day that "60" is the new "40" and I believe it.
We are still active, working (some of us), and want to improve our smiles and oral hygiene.
We rock!

Re: New to Invisalign - Hi

Emma, so glad you and your Invisaligns are doing well. :-D You ask so here is my two cents worth: I like my dentist's dental assistant really well but I am not willing to trust the health of my teeth to her. I am paying the dentist to oversee the work, not her, AND it is not her place to tell me to ...

Re: Inman aligners

Hey guys, just a quick update as I finish my fifth week with Inman aligners. Last week I saw my dentist and she could not believe how well it is all going, her words were "we're almost there" which sounded like heaven to me!!! I was a bit sceptical as I could see movement but thought it w...

Re: Inman aligners

Hi guys! I first discovered this thread in April when I was going to get my very own Inman Aligner. I read every post in a couple of days, and the information posted here is probably the best I've read during the entire process. I got my aligner on the 4th of April, and got my retainer (a permanent...

Re: Regrets and want to have braces taken off...

Kara, you might want to get some zilactin-B to swab on your gums. It does not require a prescription but your pharmacist will probably have to order it for you. I simply put it on mu gums with a q-tip. It has a looong acting numbing ingredient similar to what the dentist uses to numb us for a shot. ...
