Re: How do you get used to Invisalign (Help!!)

I felt the same way on day 6. But I'm now only on day 21, and things are much better. I got my second tray today, and they are tight and uncomfortable. But in 2-3 days, they will be fine. Like my last set.

Keep the faith. You will be fine.

Re: Paying for Invisalign

I had to pay the total price up front, which was $5700 in Huntsville, Alabama, USA. A lot of money, but well worth it.

Obsolete Orthodontsists?

OK, I admit I'm a little hesitant about asking this question. I'm an engineer who knows that skeptics are better off than blind believers. But I also know that there are usually two sides to every story, and most people only know one side of the story. Which may be the case with me here. But I'll as...

Re: Invisalign Newbie

No dry mouth here, but I have noticed that my lips are chapped more than normal. Carmax solved that problem.

The majority of Invisilign stories I read say that it gets better with time. It certainly has for me.

Good luck!

Re: Got Invisalign but still waiting for first trays?

I got mine about 12 days after the final decision was made on which of my teeth to remove (due to severe over-crowding on the bottom).

Good luck!

Re: Finally Getting My Teeth Fixed

[quote="Eve43"]Hi and welcome! Im on tray #3 of 23. 46 weeks. I have had no discomfort whatsoever...I guess I am very lucky. I switch trays every 2 weeks. They are tight when I first change them for about 10 minutes. Then that's it! I love mine so far. I hope your treatment goes well for y...

Re: Finally Getting My Teeth Fixed

Actually, I don't know how many trays I have. I'll ask this week at my checkup. My dentist is keeping my trays, at least for the time being. He said that my treatment would last till about next Christmas (this was before the trays were made). I'm only on my first tray. There is no pain, but there is...

Finally Getting My Teeth Fixed

I'm 49 years old (male), and I just got started on Invisilign (tray 1, day 3 - ouch! But getting better). I've always been very self-conscious about my teeth. Some of my teeth were missing, some never came in, and yet I have terrible overcrowding on the bottom. My top and bottom teeth are terribly o...

Re: I'm 51, husband thinks I'm too old for braces.

I'm 49 years old (male), and I just got started on Invisilign (tray 1, day 3 - ouch! But getting better). Your story is very similar to mine. I've always been very self-conscious about my teeth. Some of my teeth were missing, some never came in, and yet I have terrible overcrowding on the bottom. My...
