I've got the clear braces, and so far coffee hasn't been a problem. I've been letting it cool a bit before I drink it with a straw. Or iced coffee is always an option, but that's getting tougher as the weather is getting colder!

I brush for 2 minutes. The electric toothbrushes make it easy :)

Maybe they just want things secure until the braces are ready to come off?

It gets better. For me, it lasted almost 2 weeks. Hang in there!
