Re: Just Consulted with Dr. Arnett - questions

Dr. Arnett is one of the best if he says double i agree its double. My surgeon told me a lot of surgeons cut corners and only do one and its aesthetic look is not the best so moving two can be better. but totally get a second opinion, I would just definitely trust what Arnett suggested. Also only ta...

Golden Rule Health insurance??

Hi, I need surgery to correct and anterior open bite and over bite. I've been looking into self pay insurances. I was approved for Anthem blue cross smartsense plan. But i was wanting to try and go to Dr. Gunson and I know United pays out the most. United Healthcare's self pay insurance is called Go...

Re: How does one afford this surgery??

it would be more like $40,000 for top jaw alone, the $30,000 was just for the operating room/facility fee + 6,500 surgeon fee, 1,500 surgical assistant fee, and anesthesia. It is insane! and depressing. I keep hearing about Dr. Dunson who is suppose to be the best of the best but he is very expensive...

Newbie here- Dr. Gunson and insurance

Just curious for those who have went with Gunson- What insurance does Dr. G accept and what was your insurance plan.

Trying to figure out if i can get the insurance and make it work with Gunson or if I need to go with a cheaper surgeon sans insurance.

Re: Blue Shield CA-HMO Surgeon Recommendations?

[quote="dayeangphurr"]Hi Lyddy, Currently, I'm anticipating to undergo surgery with Dr. Gunson - in Santa Barbara, but as you may know (or read in this forum), he's pricy. But he's out-of-network of course and so my parents will most likely switch insurance companies when open enrollment c...

[quote="I love my teeth"]moonpie- There are several on here who had surgery with Dr. Bloomquist. I do not know if they had ins. coverage or not. But I had my insurance reject the first time around, so I had surgery with him anyway in Jan 2011 with his private pay structure (BSSO was around...

That's just for the facility fee not even the surgery or anesthesia... I am currently uninsured so i nee...
