Uhm, no. LOL I'm 28, married with 2 kids. I feel like people constantly stare at my mouth when I'm talking now. When I finally get these stupid bite turbos off, I think I will feel much better because I won't have a horrible lisp anymore. That is really the worst part for me.

I doubt it, they are so annoying. I'm really hating talking to anyone because of how bad my lisp is with the bite turbos. It's bad enough when people are staring at your mouth trying to see your braces, then you draw that much more attention to yourself with the lisp.

Day 5 of braces. Yesterday I ate a cheeseburger and bit into it & everything. There is hope for food! Still have a bad lisp, thanks to these horrible bite turbos. I'm hoping that really starts to improve. I cannot wait to get the turbos off.

leadcat, I'm planning on shedding some weight too while I have my braces on (getting them on next week!). I think it's perfectly fine to eat any fruit & veggie, you might just have to prepare it a different way or cut it up in smaller bites. Good luck on the weightloss!
