Anyone seen those new 'Water Flossers'...?

To quote the web page...

''Clinical trials suggest that using a water jet to compliment twice daily brushing results in a 93% improvement in gum health when compared to brushing alone.''

Oh, ok, here's £50 then...

Anyone parted with their money?

Re: What is the BEST way to intrude teeth?

Hi, I'm also trying to get teeth intruded. The front bottom 4. I have a lower track fitted a month ago or whatever and recall that the pain was in the teeth immediately to the side of the ones I want/need impacted. I queried this at the time with the Ortho and he said that teeth do not necessarily n...

Re: symmetrical or asymmetrical extractions?

My centre line is off by 3mm and no one has ever commented. My situation is that I lost the left front tooth in an accident at 11, then before I got it replaced I lost the front right in another accident. This went uncorrected until 18 when I had the wherewithal to do something about it. As a result...

Re: Bacon flavored floss and toothpaste

All this bacon stuff is madness. You can get bacon flavour tabs to flavour your water and a bacon air freshener for your car. Where will it stop!

Re: Tongue thrust Therapy in the uk anyone had it done

Go for it, just speak to them. They'll possibly refer you to a specialist, in which case speaking to them is the first step anyway. I'm considering seeing a speach therapist myself once all my orthodontic work and implants are done as I have various speach patterns that I am unhappy about which I th...

Re: How successfully can braces drive teeth down into your g

I was on 18 month payment plan that started last January. It's been extended by 6 months, which leaves only a six month window at the end of the best case orthodontic treatment period for the implants. It's not going to happen that fast. I am where I am and it's going to take as long as it takes. I ...

Re: How successfully can braces drive teeth down into your g

Thanks but I've not got the implants yet. I've got a couple of years yet before the mouth is ready for them as in addition to impacting there lowers I need teeth moved up top. I've had all four wisdom teeth out and and am currently wearing a springloaded plate to push my upper molars backwards, to c...

How successfully can braces drive teeth down into your gums?

Hello all, I'm 33 I have embarked on the journey to correct the mistakes of youth and a negligent dentist. My teeth are generally in good except I am missing the front top four due to an accident at 11 and subsequent connected necessary extractions. For the past 15 years I've worn a removable plate ...
