Re: Worried about teeth staining- Need cleaning advice!!
A proxy brush is essentially a really small brush that can go in between your gums (kind of like floss). I've been using it for a while and mostly for places where the brackets are really close to my gums (in case my electric tooth brush miss a spot). Its really just an add on. I still find flossing...

Re: Missing brackets and loose arch wire.
Are you referring to your back molar teeth? Because I don't have brackets attached to all four of my 2nd (3rd?) molar. I never even thought about it. So that's a good question. I'll definitely have to ask my orthodontist. I've never had a moving wire. I've had wires that were not attached to my lowe...

Re: Feeling hopeless; My story
Hey Mdoodm1000! Though I never had to wear an expander, I can somewhat relate to your story. I was almost 21 when I got my braces and my teeth has always been my biggest insecurity as well. It got to the point that people would always question why I don't show my teeth when I smile for pictures. My ...

Re: Gum graft with braces?
Thank you for all the replies! I feel a lot more at ease now that I know the experience (gum grafting) isn't as traumatizing as others described it as. I have my orthodontic appointment in exactly one week from today, so hopefully he can guide me to the right directions.

Re: Who needs extractions?
When I first got my consultation, my orthodontist told me that I may have to do the same thing. He said that he had to make room for everything to fit (I have an overbite so that may have contributed to the issue). But during my last visit, he told me its not necessary anymore. So, if you're worried...

Gum graft with braces?
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and still haven't figured out completely how to search around. I apologize if its a replicated question. So here's my case... after years of wanting braces but not being able to afford them, I finally got them put on six months ago on July 6th (I was a few weeks away ...
