Hope all went well on your braceday! I just wanted to mention that I used slimfast shakes alot. Especially the first week, because it was such a pain to eat anything semisolid.

Hi Ebony, I completly understand your biteplate nervousness. I was really anxious when I got mine as well. I have had mine almost 3 weeks, and I can tell you it isn't easy, but it's doable. I have learned to pop my bite plate out if I am going to be doing an interview or talking to someone at length...

They do make a portable, cordless one. I have gotten really good at controlling the spray thing. I just use the blue tip to keep it down.

Hi braced- I used chapstick constantly. I've never been one to use it as much before, But it seems like I breath more through my mouth with braces, which dries out my lips.

@ archwired- It's the way you put full metal, sentence ... For some reason, heavy metal music comes to mind when I read it.
