Just had anchors put on my teeth - made one tooth sensitive
I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience with Invisalign. I just had my anchors put on yesterday and I notice that is has made one of my teeth that has an anchor (on the bottom left) quite sensitive. It is very noticeable when I try to remove the botton tray. If I touch that tooth when...

Re: Just received my first tray - the jury is out!
Thanks for the encouragement. I just had my second visit, received 3 set of trays - and have had the anchors attached. They feel so funny and one of them has made that tooth very sensitive - really is uncomfortable to remove the braces.
I have considered skipping meals!

Re: What is safe to drink with Invisalign?
Does anyone out there cheat and drink their first cup of coffee with Invisalign in? It is SUCH a pain to take them out just for that! I don't hae any problem during the day with sodas and sugary drinks since I didn't drink them before and I don't drink cola. I know that I will have to take them out ...

Re: waiting times etc.
I drive 2-2 1/2 hours to my ortho and I think it is worth it because I like and trust her and she was recommended by my dentist. I am lucky in that I can take the time off. They know I will be coming from out of town and have been very accomodating.

Brushing on the go!
Just wanted to put this info out there. For "on the go" brushing I have found little disposable mini tooth brushed called WISP. You just wet them and brush your teeth. The opposite end is a little pick so you can floss. I keep them in my purse and the very first day I go my Invisaligns (Mo...

Re: Paying for Invisalign
I paid half down and then a payment each month. My insurance pays about 1/3 of the total price. I am also in the US and am using my Flexible spending account to get reimbursed for monthly payments.
Total cost was $5700 in Birmingham Alabama.

Just received my first tray - the jury is out!
Hi everyone. I received my first tray on Monday and have spent the last few days thinking I have made a mistake. The lower tray was SO rough - I finally took an emery board to it and it feels much better. However, I still have a lisp and can really feel them in my mouth - I sincerely hope this feels...
