It does seem strange to me that you didn't even get a new wire on the top. I got both of my wires changed to thicker copper ones, chains put on six of my lower teeth to bring the canines forward and a couple of stops. The dental therapist was thrilled with how clean my teeth were which was pleasing...

How soon did you notice your teeth moving? I can see a gap on each side of one of my canine teeth that wasn't there before. I didn't think I would see movement this fast.

So glad I saw this topic! One of my teeth is loose too. I was afraid I had brushed too hard!

Well I am over 60 and yeah I have to admit I think they are cool. In fact I just got pink powerchain on top and ping ligs on the bottom. I'm surprised the ortho isn't banding the stubborn porcelain crowns. The "magic" of bracket adhesive comes from the primer that raises/etches the enamel surface. The adhesive really becomes "one" with your enamel. Obviously none of that applies to a porcelain crown, which is mad...

you kidding they make you wait till next appointment? If the tooth is not attached, isn't that time being lost? I thought bracket debonding would be an emergency. What does everyone else think? My next appointment isn't for 10 weeks so I'm glad my office said they will try to get me in the next day if it happens again. I know there is nothing I can do to prevent it in this case. It is just frustrating!

My start in braces has been tougher than I anticipated. It was supposed to take 2.5 hours. It took 3 because I have 2 back teeth with porcelain crowns due to my wisdom teeth breaking them off. After much sanding and special glue my ortho thought the bonding had worked. I wasn't even out of the chair...

Wow! I love this board! It is great for making a list of things to go with my ortho. My actual brace date is about 2 weeks away. This week is the final questions and possible spacers.
