Am I the only weird person who started drinking coffee and coke by straw after getting braced?! I don't mind coffee that's not as hot, though.

Hello, I had my fourth adjustment yesterday. The ortho put one power chain on half of my top teeth, and two separate chains on my bottom teeth. Wonder what kind of job power chains do? In the past 5 months and 3 weeks, I only had one different wire on top, and the bottom wire stays the same the whole time. But yesterday I went for my fourth adjustment and most of my teeth have power chains instead of ligatures on them.

Hello, Had my third adjustment yesterday, and the ortho replaced my top wire from 0.14(?) to 0.202(?). Every morning when I come to work, one of the first things I do is to take my pocket mirror out of my purse and put it next to my mousepad so I can look at my teeth from time to time. One day I left that mirror at home, and boy, it was annoying and I don't know how I got through that day!! :lol: -Snow

I have ceramic both top and bottom, and I don't think I will choose any color other than smoke for the rest of my treatment. I don't like people noticing my braces, so colorful ligs are out of the question. I drink moderate coffee and coke. So far the smoke ligs withstand stains pretty well.

Thank everybody for your input. I decided to order from DentaKit anyway. I got the shipment the very next day. That's very impressive, I should say. I ordered a bunch, hopefully that's enough for my whole treatment!
