Yes it will be a fixed retainer - a little wire cemented behind your front four teeth(top & bottom). It is a tiny wire, is not noticeable and after 3 or 4 days you forget its even there.

So looks like there has been some reasonable movement so far. As you can see I have chipped my front teeth and they are twisted this came from a result of a sporting injury to the mouth.
