Wow what an amazing journey. You gave me some hope because I have a few minor spaces and wasn't sure that they would fully close, now I KNOW. That's great Doug...I hope you're enjoying your new smile!

My ortho recommended a flouride rinse such as ACT. I went to Wal-Mart to go and stock up and saw that Wal-Mart had a brand for half the price of the ACT for $2.12 in both flavors, Mint and Cinnamon. Its the same thing, just a different brand. I saved 2 bucks per bottle...can't beat that!

As of yesterday my smile now looks like :tingrin: The removal of the spacers and the putting on the bands was PURE HELL for me. Everytime she asked me to bite down I couldn't so the ortho had to apply pressure for the bands to go on. My space was still pretty tight so I experienced a lot of pain fro...

I've been trying to decide what to do as well. I go for my braces tomorrow and I am leaning more towards just getting full metal, only because people will eventually notice that you have braces anyway and I can save some money. I had my spacers yesterday (7/18) as well, and my experience was pretty much like yours. I definitely feel it now, the throbbing sensation is more intense...blahhh.
