Re: Tray 6 and uneven bite
Thanks cocomi. That's exactly what happened. It's much better now. Only 6 trays left. Yay!

Re: Tray 6 and uneven bite
Thanks Steve, it's definitely feeling more even than it did 10 days ago. I see the ortho in 2 days to get the new set of trays so I'll ask him them. I'm 1/3 of the way through. yay!

Tray 6 and uneven bite
I'm up to day 3 on Tray 6 and for the first time since wearing invisalign I can feel that that the bite is not even when I take the trays out. The left side eye teeth are touching whereas the right ones are not. I know that it's only day 3 but I started to worry that perhaps the buttons aren't gripp...

Re: Let's be honest about how many hrs per day we wear align
Thanks Jason for explaining. You've given me the push I needed to get to the 22 hours and be more efficient at meal times.

Re: 55yo just got invisalign. I think I'll need lots of supp
Hi annelou, thanks for your reply. I'm doing okay. Yesterday I started tray 5 so that's almost 1/4 the way through! I'm finding it easier to manage the eating at work and home but I dread the thought of eating out. I've already declined a few invitations because it doesn't seem worth it, but I guess...

Re: Let's be honest about how many hrs per day we wear align
I've read somewhere that they should be worn for 20-22 hours but 22 hours is optimal. I'm on tray 4 also and like you I rarely manage 22 hours. I don't calculate exactly but I know some meal times go for an hour and then there are other snack breaks as well. I also floss and brush every time so that...

Re: can't shake this feeling.
Yes!! The first week was tough. My jaw ached, I had headache, felt generally tense and I wondered 'what was I thinking!!'. The second week was much better. Then on the second trays, I also had a tough week but not as bad as the first week and on the third set of trays it was only mildly uncomfortabl...

How do you manage eating out?
I've been out a few times since having invisalign but I must say I haven't enjoyed it much. Eating out at restaurants or at friend's homes usually involves 2 or 3 hours at the table and that's too long to leave the trays out. So far I just pick a course to eat and decline all the other food - but th...

Do orthos let you have a copy of the animation?
I've just started my 3rd set of trays and I'll be seeing my ortho in a couple of weeks. I wanted to ask him if I can have a copy of the correction animation that he showed me on the first visit. I'd really like to see what changes might have happened so far and where the movement is happening. I jus...

Re: Buttons and second set of trays
I got my 2nd trays yesterday and I'm feeling achy pressure again too. It lasted a week with the first trays then was fine for the 2nd week. I'm hoping it won't last a whole week this time. I don't know about the buttons. I have about 10 and my dentist said it's for the teeth that need to move and ro...

Re: 55yo just got invisalign. I think I'll need lots of supp
Thanks Jane for your reply. I feel much better today and hoping the worst is over! It's good to know that it's okay to go a little under the 22hrs. I'm due to complete this on Dec 24th and I really want to stay on target so I get this all done by the end of the year. Thank you for your encouragement...

55yo just got invisalign. I think I'll need lots of support!
Hi All, this is my first post. I got the first invisalign trays 6 days ago and my teeth still ache. I even have headache and jaw ache! Is this normal? I'm thinking I'll need a forum like this to help me through the next 39 weeks and 1 day! The eating thing is a little challenging too. I only eat 3 m...
