I am going to read your blog right now I will have had my linguals on for 2 weeks tomorrow, so I am curious as to what will happen at my next appointment. Thats in the beginning of May ( I think May 2nd)

Thanks Butterfly. Nice to know I am not the only one Your teeth sound very similar to mine. Its will be 2 weeks tomorrow and I feel much better as far as the pain goes. I am 46 and I can't wait to see my new smile either!

I have had my linguals on for one week today! I have also melted the wax with coffee and soup and yep, I just brush for a bit and it comes off (with some additional picking of with my fingers) I am actually trying not to use wax anymore so that my mouth can get better used to the braces. I just got my lingual braces a week ago today They are not visible at all. I have to open my mouth and look up/down to show people. Then they usually comment that they thought my speech sounded different (lisp) I am now talking slower and that has helped get rid of the lisp sounds.

Thanks! I actually went to the orthodontist yesterday afternoon and he filed the couple of wires down that were scrapping my tongue (ouch!) and I feel better today. I am trying not to use any wax now. AND I am talking slowly..lol. That seems to cut down on my lisp
