Omg I had spacers in February and they hurt me bad. I couldn't eat for like a week and a half. I have now had my braces for 6 weeks and have lost 14 pounds, I didn't need to loose any weight. Just had first tightening today, and my mouth is sore, change my wire and ligatures.

I completely understand. I am 32 years old and have had mine for 6 weeks today, just had my first tightening. And WOW!!!! I have been taking Ibuprofren all day. But have been able to tell a difference. They told me at my next visit I will get power chains, I'm nervous about that. Good Luck
