Probably because you're early in the treatment. In time when forces weaken your orthodontist will use clear ligs for sure.

I got them this Wednesday... And on my gosh... it hurts a lot more than when the top went on! I already can see some movement but I guess that's normal because it's only a mild crowding at the front teeth and only have to do some arch development. Obviously my ortho started with 0.013 on top because...

Went for 1st adjustment in Monday and there was no adjustment at all.. They only clipped 1mm of wire protruding from the last bracket and polished my teeth...

I don't think those ceramic compounds that they're made of will ever stain with something. But people say the glue will eventually stain. No problems for now. Hello people! :P I'm scheduled for moulds in 1 month time and braces 2 weeks after that so I have few questions floating in my empty head (soon to be full of metal bits and pieces :P )... When I was at my check I forgot to ask the ortho for how long I would have to wear my retainers after I'm finish...

I'm getting upper and lower braces next month and I'm currently 23. :)
