I went through the same thing, I have two "vampire teeth" right on my top gums, and for the longest time I've been so upset about them.. and now, at eighteen I'm getting the braces, because I'd rather have a great smile than sitting there wondering "what if"

I was given a U shaped clear plastic thing to bite down on whenever i needed to relive pressure, so I've been using that to stop the grinding in my teeth without braces. Maybe it'll do the same with them on? xo

Eep. I just got my braces on today- a week after my 18th birthday. My ortho had brackets on my top teeth for a month so that I could get used to them, and I've gotten four teeth pulled within that month.. but today I actually took the big leap and got them on! Two years of these babies!

I've only eaten with wax one time, during a school lunch.. it was barely noticeable for me, and a lot more comfortable than eating without them. xo
