I had a cheeseburger and fries right after my braces went on and then the rest of that week i had kfc mashed potatoes or yogurt. Lol

So I have been bad and not on here to update! I have had my braces for 15 months now and am scheduled to get them off August 8th. I went for a 'finishing' appointment today and now have 12 elastics in my mouth! Hurts soo bad and so far today I'm sticking to a liquid diet because I am supposed to eat...

I had it done two weeks ago. I was so nervous I was shaking in the chair and the ortho was like you'll be fine!! Truth is... It didn't hurt at all! Had an appointment today. They put 6 spacers in my lower teeth so she can do some IPR next week. Ahhh I'm scared! Not in pain yet from the spacers but I know it's coming. As in they pulled the very back of the wire towards the back of your mouth before cutting it? I had a 'reverse niti' wire where they bent the end of the wire down instead of just cutting it on the last band. Yeah I don't notice them unless I try to eat or yawn. Haha. I have started taking much smaller bites to try and not break them when eating. My jaw actually aches when I don't have the elastics in like when brushing my teeth.

Yesterday I went to the ortho and she changed my upper and lower wires and put me in elastics. I also have two steel ties wrapped in figure eights across all my top teeth. Kinda like a steel powerchain I guess. Getting used to these elastics. She told me to eat with them in and so far they just brea...

How long have you had your braces? I am craving steak and haven't gotten any due to being worried about the pain it would cause.

gap is closed between front two but has moved to my right side.

Figured I would upload some pics here since yesterday was 1 month in braces. My gap has closed a lot and there is just a tiny hair of space there now. My bite is a lot more open than it used to be. I'm agreeing with the above posts in Biotene mouth wash and gel. My boyfriend even uses this even though he doesn't have braces and loves it.

I have blue molars too due to the glue and I guess it's normal?
Anybody else have this?
