Re: Inman aligners
My dentist left the blobs on when she took the impressions but took them off a week later when I actually collected the clear aligner (I had a blob on my front tooth which I thought completely unnecessary, + 2 on the back of my next teeth) Hopefully you won't need to wear it all day for long, but as...

Re: Inman aligners
After 16 weeks of the Inman (longer than most because I only wore it 16hrs per day), last weekend I got the first of my clear invisalign type aligners. These were included in my fee. The clear aligner is like a dream compared to the Inman! No lisp whatsoever and people cannot even tell I am wearing ...

Re: Inman aligners
lfkat - I'm glad you said the loose tooth is ok, after reading your post I tried wobbling my teeth and discovered one of mine is loose too! It's quite scary!! It makes sense though, as the tooth is pushed the hole it is in must get stretched a bit. Badbear - could the dentist be referring to another...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi all A quick update on progress, I have had my IA nearly 6 weeks now. At first it felt like there was a lot of movement, now it feels like things are progressing very slowly indeed. I am still only wearing about 16 hours per day during the working week as it would be completely impractical for me ...

Re: Inman aligners
I think my treatment time is expected to be around 12 weeks but as I am not wearing it at work I'm only managing 16 hours a day (more at weekends) so my dentist didn't really commit to a timeframe. If its progressing too slowly I will consider wearing it at work too! I noticed movement after the fir...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Badbear - I'm also getting married in September and looks like we started treatment around the same time! I don't have an expander so can't help u out with that question, but from what I've read on here I think it's normal to not feel discomfort, it doesn't mean it isn't still working. I had a ba...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Danonone I completely understand your concerns on the price. When I first considered doing something about my teeth I had a consultation and was quoted something like £5k+ for invisalign or £2100 for the Inman. I felt that the dentist was trying to sway me toward Invisalign, not really giving me ...

Re: Inman aligners
I got my IA fitted last week having decided to go ahead after reading lots of comments on here about everyone's experiences - this is a fantastic discussion! Was quite surprised how quick it took them to make it after getting my moulds done (just 2 weeks) and I have now been wearing it 5 days. It go...
