Re: Inman aligners
Hi Ozzy, I thought I was imagining my front teeth had moved forward too- but I think it was my mind playing tricks! For that reason, that's why I still do not regret paying extra to get an Invisalign type retainer made as well- just for my peace of mind. I'm currently whitening my teeth at home- I w...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Ozzy, Oh no! Sorry to hear the wire is giving you so many problems. Yes, mine are six teeth with composite blobs holding the wire in place. I have to say, so far, they have been absolutely fine and I have got used to them already. I don't even play with it with my tongue anymore. I haven't notice...

Re: Inman aligners
Week 13 and I am finally done!!! Went in early to the dentist first thing this morning because my teeth had moved since the last visit I had three days earlier. I knew that they were done, everything was aligned and I was happy with how they looked. Went in the morning to have my impressions taken a...

Re: Inman aligners
Ozzy- your after photo looks great, good job! I will let you know how the fixed wire turns out as I have also read online that many people experience lifting or the wire snapping etc. my dentist thinks that this is the best option for me (instead of a night time invisalign type retainer) as my teeth...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi everyone! It has been a while since my last post, but I am coming up to the end of week 12 now and the end is in sight! In my last post I had been given a fan screw aligner to speed up movement of the most recessed tooth. I wore that for 2.5 weeks- it did the job it was supposed to do and I then ...

Re: Inman aligners
Went to the dentist today to get my new "fan screw" aligner. All I can say is- what a joy this one is to wear compared to the standard IA with built in expander!! I love the new retainer! It is the the size of a guitar pick (ok, maybe ever so slightly bigger) and it sits behind the first f...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi everyone, Thanks for all the encouragement! Im on week 7.5 and I'm going to the dentist to get my new aligner tomorrow- ironically, I noticed that my teeth had started moving again yesterday! Typical! Oh well, if anything, I hope the new retainer will speed up the already successful work my IA ha...

Re: Inman aligners
So we are in week 6 and I have just come back from seeing the dentist. As there has been no change since last weeks visit after my teeth were filed she took impressions for a new type of retainer. From what I understand, it is a "fan" aligner from Inman. Just as I have to turn my built-in ...

Re: Inman aligners
Sassy, I think I know which girl you are referring to on you tube- if it is the same one- she is very inspiring- I may watch it again now and take a closer look at the stages of her teeth change! I would be happy if it were the Invisalign type brace but I don't think it is as my dentist and I have d...

Re: Inman aligners
It has been 5.5 weeks since I've had the IA fitted, and am a little confused with its progress. I saw my dentist on Tuesday for a follow up, I explained that since my last visit at 2.5 weeks there had been rapid movement for the following 7days then nothing. We both thought perhaps more filing was n...

Re: Inman aligners
I've had the IA for just over 4 weeks now, I have to say the time has gone quite quickly. After my first dentist visit at 2.5 weeks and after she did more filing, I have noticed a lot of movement. I think I read that you notice more of a change after the two week mark once your teeth begin to lose t...

Re: Inman aligners
Went to see my dentist today for the first time since ive had the IA fitted two and half weeks ago. She seemed very happy with what was going on in my mouth and according to her, there had already been some movement. I'm glad she was so enthusiastic- as I can't see much of a change- perhaps I'm look...

Re: Inman aligners
Sassy, I drink cold drinks with the IA in but nothing of a dark colour as I don't want to stain it. Dentist says that cold drinks are absolutely fine. How often were you told to expand the expander? My dentist said anywhere from every 3-5days or once a week- or whenever I stop feeling pressure. On t...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Sassy, I've had mine in now for two and half weeks and my speech has improved considerably. The lisping will never go away, but the initial slurring does get better. Friends and family say they understand everything I say now! Hurrah! I recorded my voice to see what it actually sounded like and b...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Elizateeth,
Glad to know someone is in the same position as me! How long is your estimated treatment time?
Can't imagine what it's like having a cold with the IA- must be difficult. I can't even sneeze like I normally do with it in!
How are you finding yours? Have you noticed any change yet?
