I have been going every 4 weeks for adjustments for the past 8 months that I have had braces. I have regular metal braces.

I have never had the wire come out during a cleaning. My hygienist does not care. She said the only time they would need to take out the arch wire is for a deep cleaning. Reg normal cleanings, there is no need for it.

I brush twice a day. When I wake up, and before I go to sleep. Of course I use listorine and ACT flouride also. I usually rinse with some biotene PBF once in between there somewhere. Yeah. The one thing I am beginning to realize is that they really do know more then us. If we give them that amount of money to get these things on, we need to trust them.
