Re: Molars not overlapping Properly on both sides, uncomfort
I’m sorry to hear your story. I have had a similar experience. When my braces came off, my lower front teeth touched the inside of my upper front teeth, but I had big spaces on BOTH left and right sides. No molar or bicuspid contact at all. During treatment, while my front teeth were moved into thei...

Re: Bite concerned after braces
Same advice from me. Consult another ortho. I had braces taken off in April, and now they're put back on by another ortho to correct wrongdoings of the first one.

Re: Braces off but my jaw is clicky!
Does your jaw hurt? If not, I wouldn't worry about it too much if matters don't change. But be careful not to overextend your jaw. I was having TMJ symptoms several years ago, and the solution was simply to stop eating large sandwiches which required me to open my mouth wider than it wanted to go.

Re: Braces Off and Cannot Occlude Properly
All,
After having braces for 18 months (removed in May 2012), today I'm starting treatment with a NEW orthodontist to correct the fact that my rear teeth do not meet. Unfortunately, another full fee.

Re: Inflammation
Sorry to hear of your rough experience. In contrast, my braces seemed to pop off with very little force. I was surprised. And grinding the glue off was not very uncomfortable.
I still have bite problems, but that's another story . . .

Re: Bite concerned after braces
I echo the recommendation to get an opinion from another orthodontist. I had evaluations by four different orthos before choosing the one I used. There recommendations were not all the same.

Re: What is expected at the first retainer check?
Sounds like good advice. My orthodontist gets one more chance to acknowledge I still have a problem (after braces being removed), then I'll talk to someone else. Seems like they don't like it when things don't turn out just right!

Braces Off and Cannot Occlude Properly
All, I had my upper braces removed last year, and a permanent retainer was installed. As my lower teeth (which still had braces) began to come into place, I noticed that the tops of my lower-front teeth hit the retaining on my upper-front teeth. I didn't think too much about this at the time. My low...
