elastics

Okay this may sound like a silly question, but... Do you think I have to mention to the orthodontist that I want my overbite/overjet corrected or is this just part of the whole process? Ive had braces for 6 months now and no mention of them as yet. I have another 2 and a half years to go so maybe it...

Re: Newly Braced

Theres actually a passage on the Internet (The Rainbow Passage - you can google it) which you can use to practice your speech.
I read it out loud a few times a day and it helped immensely

Re: Loose Tooth

Thanks for the reassurance everyone, I'm feeling a lot better now :) If we're all in the same boat (the loose-tooth boat lol) then I guess it must mean what we're going through is normal and knowing that we're going through it together is a great comfort. Phew! I'm meant to be having my teeth cleane...

Re: Newly Braced

Congratulations on starting your journey :jump: I am also 32 years old with linguals, which i have had for just over 6 months now. Speech was a huge concern for me when making my decision, and for the first couple of weeks I struggled a bit with a lisp and had those days which ended in tears of frus...

Loose Tooth

Hi Everyone I would just like to know if this is normal. I have one tooth at the top which is quite loose, if I press on it i can see it moving in the gum. I know teeth go through a process of being loose and tightening up on and off with braces, but this seems different. The tooth in particular is ...

Re: Getting nervous and scared of cancelling!

Hi Angel269 I understand where you are coming from, I was REALLY anxious about getting my braces and didnt sleep a wink the night before. I suffer from Anxiety Disorder and panic attacks and was also afraid of being out of control and that I would freak out once they were on. I spoke to my GP who ga...

Re: To those with lingual top and conventional bottom...

I had a reply from someone saying that its impossible to have elastics to correct my bite if i have upper linguals, surely this is incorrect? Okay this may sound like a silly question, but... Do you think I have to mention to the orthodontist that I want my overbite/overjet corrected or is this just...
