Re: braces at 17

Well! Oh my gosh, time flys so fast! I got brackets put on my two lower molars to pull everything into line. The ortho said my bottom row are perfect! It's only the top row that needs work. So anyway, I got springs put on my wire to push my teeth apart, so they could attach a bracket to my laterals....

Re: braces at 17

So here's my teeth from when I first got my braces, to when I got my first adjustment. http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5900/77925022.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us You can dramatically see how straight have gotten. My two front teeth have straightened more with the thicker wire, but my two later...

Re: braces at 17

Well, 3 corners of my mouth are fully torn up :s The ortho tried cutting it but she said she would be cutting the tube. It's still 1-2mm of wore sticking out. I can't cut it myself. I see the ortho in 6 weeks and have to drive 5 hours one way. I don't understand why she couldn't pull the wire out a ...

Re: braces at 17

hello! I had my first wire change today. They changed both of my wires to a thicker size. Opening the "doors" on my braces kinda hurt. I have sentitive teeth so I don't know if that contributed to the pain or not. I should toughen up soon :) When they finished changing my wires, the lady c...

Re: Braces Journey from Chaotic Choppers - Australia

Just make sure that if your wire is poking out the back of your brackets, get it clipped! Seriously! I made the mistake of not getting it clipped and it destroyed my mouth. And :P I'm from Geraldton. It's 4 hours from Perth. It tends to rain alot more in Perth than it does here. It was raining all a...

Re: Braces Journey from Chaotic Choppers - Australia

Hey! The pain will move from tooth to tooth, it also happened to me and gave some relief so I could chew on one side of my mouth. Did your ortho give you some numbing gel? If not, go get some from the pharmacy and put it on your gums. Relief! As for dry lips, just lather your lips with lip balm, lik...

Re: braces at 17

So far I've found it really hard to eat sandwiches. They end up making my teeth really sore :( so I can't have a full sandwich of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cheese and ham. I can only have like, lettuce, cucumber and ham so I can actually chew it. I think braces have actually given me benefits! I ha...

Re: anxiousgirl's braces story.

Was just reading few your story (:

The clear white disgusting stuff is normal. It's just like saliva but it get's caught up in your braces and dries a bit while you're sleeping. I got it heapssss when I first got my braces, I'd wake up first thing and shove a tissue in my mouth.

Re: braces at 17

Yay! here's some pictures of my teeth (: The night before I got braces. Wish I took more photos. I look at this and realise HOWWW crooked my bottom teeth really were. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/5605/79165940.th.jpg I hope this isn't too gruesome! After getting my second bicuspids extracted. Ho...

Re: braces at 17

I'm from geraldton, 4 hours from Perth :) There's still the cost of paying for $150 worth of fuel there and back, and possible need for accommodation. We go to the Oral Health Centre. It's the big school of orthodontics where the students study and learn with real peoples teeth, learning how to put ...

Re: braces at 17

I don't think of braces as ugly. I actually quite like them :) There really is so many teenagers out there with rich parents. The kid sooks about braces and how "ugly" they'll look and how it'll ruin their life. They get the easy way in, they don't have to pay a cent, their parents are pay...
