Do braces affect growth?

Hi Everyone
I have a question : Do braces affect your natural growth, considering the fact that i am a teenager and i am in braces? If so, is it favourable or adverse?
Also, now that i have braces, will my mandible continue to grow out to its proper genetic potential?

It really is normal, once you get the braces off they'll protrude less. Keep in mind too as you age your upper lip will flatten/thin so they'll protrude even less, it's youthful and attractive the way they look now. WOW!!
