Re: How often do you have your teeth cleaned?
My dentist is also my Invisalign provider. I go in every 6 months. You're oral hygiene really ramps up with Invisalign (or it should!) so my last cleaning was nothing. Also, the straighter your teeth are, they easier they are to keep clean anyway.

Re: Invisalign Assist vs regular Invisalign
I'm guessing you wouldn't, Dr. Tam, but it seems from reading these boards, that most providers, experienced or not, would wait until the refinement stage to fix the issue rather than going back and correcting things unless it was a severe issue that the aligners completely weren't fitting anymore. ...

Re: Invisalign Assist vs regular Invisalign
I'm on Invisalign Assist... the benefit I've seen is that after tray 10, they were able to see that couple of my teeth were not tracking correctly, and at that point, updated my plan instead of waiting for refinements to correct these two teeth.
For that reason, I see it as a plus!

Re: What did you pay for your treatment?
1) 12-15 months
2) $4550
3) Invisalign
4) Large gap between two front teeth was the major concern for me, although I have other teeth that need straightened as well.

Re: I prefer my teeth with Invisalign
I prefer mine with my trays in. The gap between my front teeth looks smaller with them in. YOu can see pics on my blog at http://xtina81.blogspot.com/

Re: All done :)
I was just wondering if you have pics. I don't know if you have the same kind of gap that I do, but mine is in the middle of my two front teeth and I would really like to see the finished product!
Also... no refinements???

Have you tried filing down the edges with a nail file? That's what my dentist suggested and a couple of seconds on the trouble spots works wonders! ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: What led you to choose invisalign or similar?
Mine was the fact they are pretty unnoticeable. They were about $500 more than traditional braces, which was worth the discreteness to me, being an adult. And treatment time was about half.

Re: Tray 6 and uneven bite
When I went in for my last appointment I was asked if my bite felt weird now and told that it was going to change throughout the process. You're probably fine, but it's always a good idea to ask if you're uncertain about anything.

Re: Digital impressions
I had both the digital impressions done, and the molds. I wish I would have only done the digital, tons easier! They put the scanner on each tooth and wait for a beep that the scan worked. They take a scan of each side (outside, biting surface, and inside). When they are all done, the computer puts ...

Re: gunky trays after just 5 days
When I am at home and take mine out to eat, I put them in a cup of water, it makes cleaning a lot easier. About every three days is when they seem to start smelling bad and I will soak them in denture cleaner for about 10 minutes. Other than that, whether in a cup of water or not, I just use a tooth...

Re: How often do you interact with your orthodontist?
I go in every 6 weeks, but I have only had one follow up appointment since first getting my trays/attachments. Everytime I have went in, the assistant comes and talks to me and checks things over, then the dentist looks everything over as well, but she seems to look more throuroughly than the assist...

Good to know these are ok, I was wondering when I had a cold a few weeks back, but suffered through without.
