Re: Being too picky? If something's bugging you what do you
Yep, that is correct. There are multiple staff members that work with you and they record notes on the computer for what was done during appointments for each patient. They're known to be among the best in the area, but I guess there was some "teething trouble" :) Anyway, I went into the c...

Re: Advice needed - Incisor crowding and filing
I thought I'll post a quick update. I went in to the ortho's clinic today and had a quick readjustment done to fix the incisors. I am pretty happy with the results. My ortho and his staff were pretty responsive to the concerns I raised and fixed the issues with the incisors. Was almost cringing espe...

Re: Being too picky? If something's bugging you what do you
I can completely relate to you. I've been wearing ceramic braces for about 22 months. And since the past month, I've had to go into the the ortho's office after each appointment because something was wrong. It has been frustrating, to say the least. I am paying nearly $6000 for my treatment and I wo...

Advice needed - Incisor crowding and filing
I 've been wearing ceramic braces for 21 months and was told at the outset that my treatment would last for 22 months (although I know initial estimates are not always accurate). I am scheduled to travel out of the country (for an indefinite period) in a month and will have my braces removed before ...

Re: Extraction to help overcrowding and overbite
Don't worry - the gaps will be filled before you know it (at least they'll be much less visible). I got braces for the second time :( about a year and a half ago and had 6 teeth extracted. The gaps were almost filled up one year later, and the teeth had moved quite a bit in the first 6 months. Hang ...

Re: When can i start to see my results?
How soon results are seen will vary from person to person, but in about 3 months there should be visible changes.
Hang in there :)

Re: How long to close a premolar gap?
Took me about a year and a half for my upper premolar gap to close. It was barely visible after a year, but the dentist would use a device to push air to ensure there were no gaps and he kept saying there was a tiny gap. Finally got done in about a year.

Re: How to avoid yellowing while braces are on?
My dentist told me to use whitening toothpaste but that was of little help...I try to go in for a cleaning once in 6 months. My ortho removes the wire, I go to the dentist for the cleaning and then back to the ortho for re-wiring.

Re: Extractions and pain
You should get it checked out - could be a dry socket.
I had severe pain after teeth extraction because the blood clot covering the area where the tooth was got dislodged. Your surgeon might dress up the area and it usually helps.
