Re: Official 25 and Up Braces Room

33 yrs old here. 13 months of treatment with 5 more months to go. Getting braces was the best decision I've made in the longest time. I can't wait to get these braces off in April 2014.

Re: Speech sounds horrible

I have my good & bad times with speech but more than anything, it helps me to slow and concentrate on what I am saying. The first week after getting braces, my speech was all over the place but everyone that I talked to was very understanding. They had braces before or their children went throug...

Re: Nerves

I wasn't nervous during my first consultation okay maybe I was, I was estatic to finally get the ball rolling. The morning of getting my braces installed was when I was the most nervous because I didn't know what to expect. In the end everything was fine :) My first consultation let me know that I c...

Re: Going into my first adjustment today with tons of questi

Thanks everyone for your responses! I thought I was going crazy over the gap but it makes sense for the gap to be there so that the other teeth can move into place. My adjustment only lasted 10 minutes!!! I don't know why I expected to be there longer than that but again, I am still new to all of th...

Going into my first adjustment today with tons of questions!

Did anyone else experience gaps that were not there before? I have a gap in my bottom teeth that wasn't there before I got my braces and it feels so uncomfortable. I have noticed that my bottom teeth have shifter more noticeably than my upper teeth. Sometimes I wonder if these braces are doing more ...

Re: Day 3 with braces, Omg
It does get better in a few days. Cliche I know, but true.
It really does get better. I am three weeks into my 18 month treatment. The first couple of days were painful. Not be able to eat anything besides soup was hard but three weeks later I am used to having the...

Re: Finally Braced! 18 mos to go!

I am glad I didn't have to go through any extractions, I was worried about that. At the last visit with my dentist he mentioned something about my wisdom teeth and I sighed. I didn't want anymore delays in getting my braces. I am used to wearing them now. I am also used to eating with braces now but...

Re: Finally Braced! 18 mos to go!

I have a slight overbite and slight under bite (posting from work, I will update this post later on what exactly my ortho summarized for my treatment). Just noticed this morning another change in my lower teeth. I really should start taking pictures every week to compare the change. I am constantly ...

Finally Braced! 18 mos to go!

Braced for 1 week now with 18 months of treatment ahead of me . After 1 week, the pain is gone in my mouth, the brackets no longer cut the inside of my mouth, I can chew again and I can survive the days without dental wax (lol). Maybe it's a figment of my imagination but I noticed that some of my bo...
