I'm also a few days in and have the same attitude. They hurt and it's annoying but it will be worth it!

No I had pre molars taken out which were fine. I got a local anaesthetic and I had 2 visits for 2 teeth out each time and only took ten mins. My partner had 2 wisdom teeth out and they were fine too. Don't worry they will totally numb you up!

Such a difference in only 8 weeks!

After my first two extractions I was at work the next day but then I took a day off after the next 2 as it was a little sore. My braces didn't hurt the same day, I took painkillers before they were put on and then a few hours after. It was the morning after I had some pain so maybe good to take that...

I'm on day 3 and so far my favourites are yoghurt, mashed sweet potato, bananas, porridge, pasta and ice cream. I've managed chicken cut up into very small pieces and actually managed to eat more than I thought I would so far.

The day I can have a steak or a burger will be joyous!!

Luckily I got my braces fitted while on my annual holiday. So I had them fitted weds afternoon and back at work Monday. I would say take the day after off depending what you do for work but after that I wasn't too bad as i kept topping up on painkillers!

Well done you! Mine is a similar story, almost 28, small jaw so overcrowding at the bottom. 4 extractions and get my braces put on weds 24th July! I've been working 50 hour weeks for 4 months to pay for them.

I'm almost 28 and Started my process today with some extractions. Certainly makes it all real!!

I've had 2 out today, the numbing is only just going thank god! I'm on soup as scared to eat solids. My mouth has only just stopped bleeding. I got told to use salt water after 24hrs and to avoid hot drinks and alcohol today. You might be best with something soft and not too small to get stuck!
