I think it varies by individual. I remember losing a lot of weight in the first couple of months simply because I couldn't eat much. My teeth have been tender quite a lot throughout the whole process. They have moved pretty quickly so I take the soreness as a good sign of progress!

Sounds like you've thought of this (like me) for a long time and I too am excited about finally doing something - well done for getting around to it sooner than I did (i'm turning 34 on Friday). I'm sure it will be all worth it!
