Re: Inman aligners

Hi Susiesue, it's great to hear you are pleased with your results. I too am now finished treatment and have just arrived back after having the wire retainer fitted (it does feel a little strange but I'm sure I'll get used to it). My treatment has taken 4.5 months (including bonding and bleaching), a...

Re: Inman aligners

Mark180 - don't worry this happens. I had fortnightly appointments and don't know what the dentist did to the aligner each time, but it always felt tighter after I'd been and then after about a week felt slack again.

Re: Inman aligners

Resby - the composite on my front tooth was only obvious when someone looked at me from the side.

Re: Inman aligners

Hi Resby - if you are a week into treatment you should be over the achy stage and I'm sure your speech will improve a little with time. As I reported a couple of blogs back, I continued to remove my brace if I had to take any calls at work, or attend any meetings throughout my 16 weeks of wearing th...

Re: Inman aligners

Hi Susiesue11 - My gums did improve during the whitening process, which is now complete, so no more trays needed. I can see some improvement in the colour but would of liked them a little brighter tbh., but I suppose my age could have something to do with how bright they'll go. My Dentist gave me 16...

Re: Inman aligners

Mark180 - the pain you're describing should subside in a couple of days I'm sure and if it doesn't, you should give your Dentist a ring. I know for the first few days my teeth ached a little and the inside of my cheeks were torn to shreds, but a little dental wax purchased from Boots did the trick j...

Re: Inman aligners

Seagull - Wish I'd heard of this before I started the bleaching process!!
I stopped using the bleaching gel for 2 nights and instead filled the trays with Sensodyne and they seemed to have calmed down a little. :jump:

Re: Inman aligners

I was wondering if anyone else had whitening done at the end of their treatment and found the process VERY painful? I've been told I need to sleep with the trays in for 2-3 weeks, but I'm only 5 days in and my gums are so sore I couldn't even brush my teeth this morning. My upper front gums are blee...

Re: Inman aligners

Susiesue11 - the bonding is a tooth coloured resin material which he will use to add length to parts of the teeth to make them all the same length. He said he prefers to do this rather than shave off the bottoms of the teeth to make them all the same length. I asked about the durability of the bondi...

Re: Inman aligners

Inmanthedan - Glad to hear you're managing the aligner well. It'll be over before you know it.............I can't believe how quick the time has gone. Susiesue11 - Just been for my 13 week appointment (predicted treatment time was 4 months) and my Dentist has changed his mind and said I won't need t...

Re: Inman aligners

Inmanthedan - I'm sure you won't regret it. I'm 11 weeks in now, and was predicted treatment would take approx 16 weeks and can honestly say the time has flown by. As Susiesue has mentioned the speech still proves to be a problem, but just like her, I remove the brace for phone calls or any lengthy ...

Re: Inman aligners

Well done Susiesue11 you're almost done...... are you getting the whitener to use when your plastics arrive? I will also need the bottom of my teeth levelling off...........is it the same sensation as when you have inbetween the teeth filed? Also have you decided if you will have a fixed wire retain...

Re: Inman aligners

Hi Vicky, I've just watched your you tube blogs and noticed the one about your cold sore problems. I have also suffered with this problem since I was young and 1 week into my treatment you guessed it, one appeared. I take a homeopathic remedy Rhus Tox 30c (I just get Boots own brand) and they work w...

Re: Inman aligners

Just had my 4 week check and the Dentist has placed a composite button on the front of my tooth and told me the front bar needs to sit below this, so now it's flush to the very edge of my teeth.......and there was I thinking my speech couldn't get any worse, how wrong could I be!!! I don't think I c...

Re: Inman aligners

Hi Susiesue11, great news about your progress. Had you noticed much difference before now, or has the major change taken place these last two weeks? Also did your dentist mention whether you'll be having the clear aligners to finish treatment after your 16 weeks is up? 88oscar, my dentist told me to...
