I've never had wax hurt, but it can sometimes make my tooth feel kind of heavier or something for an hour or so after I put it on.

Nope, look fine to me Mine don't really stain (mind you I do avoid turmeric and curry). By the end of an adjustment time the sides near my molars are often a tiny bit orangey/yellow in certain light but otherwise the rest is okay.

I think definitely what was mentioned above. Get an opinion from a jaw surgeon (or 2!) and go from there.
