So they are earplugs? Actual earplugs? Stuck inside your mouth like cotton balls or something? Or are they "moldable" like wax?

It's just odd to me b/c I know earplugs well (I'm a drummer) but I guess I never heard of Mack's before.

I'm 48 years old and just got braces a week ago. My OD Asst told me not to wax all of my teeth but these things are tearing my mouth apart. I spoke to others that said they always waxed without issue. Then my OD called to check on me and said it was OK and would even supply wax for me. Not sure how ...
